MARK COLVIN: How are the mighty fallen. Eddie Obeid, for years behind the scenes the most powerful person in NSW politics, today had to listen as the state’s corruption commission notched up three more findings of corruption against him.

And his long-time wingman Joe Tripodi took a hit at the ICAC as well. This afternoon the Labor Party expelled Tripodi. He became the third former Labor minister to be ousted from the party in the past year.

But 10 months on from the first findings of corruption against Obeid and his associates, there are now serious questions being asked about why no charges have been laid.
